App Smackdown     This week in our class we will be doing an interesting project called the "App Smackdown".  Everyone will be choosing an app that relates to their major and we will do a full app review on the app that we choose.  For this activity I chose the app called "Citizen" .  "Citizen" is an app that allows people to interact with each other and report accidents as well as, shootings, kidnappings,  traffic stops, and fires.  The best way to describe the app is it is like instagram but for incidents that deal with first responders.  You can post pictures, videos, or live stream whatever incident is going on around you.  Not only does the app keep you updated on events that are happening around you, it also keeps you updated on the corona virus cases in your area.  Overall, I find this app very useful and I believe this app can save lives as well as protect people from the dangers of the outside world.  "Light, Bright, and Polite" & Tour Builder     In the first chapter of "Light, Bright, and Polite" , the author just gives some basic tips on how to ensure one is setting their social media platforms up in a way that won't hurt them later on in life.  One of the tips he gave was that he recommends that any post on social media should be no longer than 100 characters.  The reasoning for this is so your post can grab the attention of the reader right away.  People are also more likely to read something smaller in size rather than something that consists of multiple paragraphs.  The biggest thing the author stresses is that everyone has to be extremely careful what they post on social media, because companies and employers search up the names of their applicants and everyones social media posts can be found and seen.  Other then keeping your posts short and appropriate, it is also great to keep your political views neutral so that you don't offe...
